California State University – East Bay, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, University of Texas at Austin, Rutgers University, Northwestern University, and Georgia Institute of Technology have recognized the chapters for their outstanding work and dedication, presenting them with prestigious awards. Hindu YUVA at California State – East Bay was honored with the SOLAR Awards 2023 for Outstanding Club/Organization. Their Diwali Milan event, with an attendance of over 500 students, was the largest ever student event on campus and reflected the chapter’s impact in engaging and benefiting the university community.
Hindu YUVA at UIUC received the Outstanding Asian American Student Organization Award at the Asian American Leadership Awards. This award appreciates the chapter’s commitment to diversity and contribution to the campus culture through events like the interfaith celebration of Hindu New Year they hosted with several other student organizations.
Hindu YUVA at UT Austin has been recognized with the Pillars of the Forty Acres Exemplary Student Organization award. This distinction acknowledges the chapter’s exemplary leadership and impactful initiatives such as their “Chai” Time event organized in collaboration with Texas Hillel. This event celebrated the diversity of the student body and shared the impact of Yoga and Krav Maga with the larger campus community.
Hindu YUVA at Rutgers University was presented with the esteemed Spirit of Rutgers Award. This recognition highlights the chapter’s commitment to the community through events like their annual Guru Vandana. The event shares Hindu values with the campus and appreciates the faculty and administration at the university.
Hindu YUVA at Northwestern University has been honored with the Wildcat Impact Award for Winter 2023. This award recognizes the chapter’s outstanding contributions in creating a positive and inclusive campus environment. With participation from the administration and multiple religious organizations, they hosted the first ever “Wildcat Hindu Experience,” an event to provide a safe space for Hindu students to share their experiences on campus.
Hindu YUVA at Georgia Tech received the Celebrating Student Leadership Award. The award recognized the chapter’s contributions towards starting new initiatives on campus such as the Hygiene and Period Kit packing event, organized in collaboration with Hillel at GT and the Muslim Students Association at GT. The event celebrated campus diversity and shared the concept of sewa with the community.
